West Bend, WI – This video was unveiled in 2016 at the Great Minds Gala in Washington D.C. As a collector of local news stories and on the cutting edge of what’s happening I had no idea this was being filmed in my own backyard.
The award for Family Friend and Caregiver was presented prior to the 2016 bicycle tour from Albuquerque, New Mexico to West Bend.
I remember it was hot, there were a ton of flat tires, Oklahoma had the best hospitality and I made a lot of friends during three weeks on the road pedaling back to West Bend.

Right now I’m in the exciting fundraising stage! Busy talking to businesses and supporters so I can get their logos on my jersey (donated by Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds).
I’ve got quite a ways to go yet with a very limited window of time. My jersey has to be designed and laid out within the next few weeks. I have some strong support from Delta Defense/USCCA, Donny Gruber and Gruber Tool and Die, Wiedmeyer Express, and Horicon Bank.
One-hundred percent of donations go to Cedar Community and exercise and entertainment programs for seniors with memory care needs. All donations are tax deductible.
